The Harrier 48 VS is built around a corrosion-resistant aluminium cutting deck that carries a lifetime warranty against cracking or breaking under normal use. The deck is light enough to manoeuvre with ease yet rigid enough for long-term, heavy-use durability. A lifetime crankshaft warranty is also included, covering accidental contact with solid objects during normal mowing.

The variable speed self-propelled drive takes the physical effort out of mowing — simply select a pace that suits you and steer as you go. The two-piece ribbed rear roller provides superior traction across the lawn and allows smooth, scuff-free turns without marking the turf, while simultaneously producing the defined stripe finish that characterises a well-kept lawn.

Seven cutting height settings run from 13mm to 60mm, all adjusted via a single counter-balanced lever for quick changes between passes. Vari-Pitch™ cutting technology automatically adjusts the deck angle to increase airflow when set to cut longer grass, maintaining consistent performance without manual intervention. The trim-side deck design allows the mower to cut right up to edges, borders, raised flower beds, and retaining walls — reducing or eliminating the need for follow-up trimming.

The high-performance cut and collection system is designed using aerospace technology to deliver class-leading grass lifting, cutting, and collection in all seasons, even in thick or damp grass. The 70-litre fabric grassbag lifts easily through the handlebars for straightforward emptying, and raising the cutting height by one position converts the mower into an effective leaf collector in autumn.

Cleaning and storage are straightforward: an easy-wash hose connector allows the underside of the deck to be rinsed out without getting hands dirty, and the handlebars fold down to reduce the footprint for storage.
