Stihl LA05-011-6400 HTA30.0 Pole Pruner Shell (AS)

The HTA 30 is powered by two batteries from the STIHL AS System, which slot into the tool to deliver quiet, low-vibration performance suitable for use in noise-sensitive environments without hearing protection. Per AS 2 battery charge, the tool delivers up to 140 cuts and approximately 28 minutes of runtime (measured on 5x5cm dried spruce), providing ample capacity for typical garden maintenance sessions. The AS System battery is interchangeable with other compatible STIHL AS tools.

The steplessly adjustable telescopic shaft extends from 190cm to 280cm without tools, covering working heights up to 4.5m at full extension. A rubberised handle hose runs the length of the shaft, allowing it to be gripped at any point along its length to suit the working height and position — a practical feature when manoeuvring between branches at varying heights. The shortened form makes the tool easy to transport between locations.

The compact, slim cutting head uses a STIHL 1/4" PM3 saw chain and a 20cm Light 01 guide bar for clean, efficient cuts through branches up to 17cm in diameter. Automatic chain tensioning via an integrated spring mechanism maintains correct tension during operation, and the tensioning lever in the branch hook allows quick tool-free adjustment and chain fitting when cleaning or replacing the chain. The sprocket cover opens and closes easily for rapid tension checks with minimal interruption to work.

All controls and the tensioning lever are designed for use with work gloves, and the softgrip control handle with ergonomic two-sided unblocking is equally suited to right- and left-handed users. The total weight of 3.6kg, combined with the balanced design, keeps fatigue low during extended pruning sessions. A robust base integrated into the housing protects against dirt and moisture, a hanging loop accommodates an optional single shoulder strap, and a carrying ring allows the tool to be stored on a wall hook.
